Shine a light!

Shine a light! First I applied papertape and a good layer of black gesso. Than I added a thick layer of titanium white acryllic paint. With a thick needle I drew the figure directly into the wet paint. You want to draw quickly, because acrylics dry fast. What you actually are doing is carving in the white paint. I love the grungy lines this technique gives you. I drew the houses with a black crayon and colored them with a white one.
All the other accents I made with caran d'ache crayons, tape and different sorts of pens.
